Introduction

Anyone who imports pre-packaged commodities or goods in India must take LMPC Registration Certificate before importing any pre-packaged goods or commodities in India under rule 27 of Legal Metrology Packaged Commodity rules of Department of Consumer Affairs. The registration must be applied within 90 days from the date when the import has been started.

How to get LMPC Importer Certificate Registration in India?

Under the packaged commodity rules, certain mandatory declaration like country of origin, manufacturer name and address, importer address, month and year of manufacturing, month and year of import etc. has to be made. 1. Applicant’s Identity Proof (any one) Aadhaar card, Voter ID, Passport
2. Applicant's Address Proof (any one) Aadhaar card, Voter ID card, A Recent Utility Bill
3. A sample Labeling or Packaging material
4. Additional Licenses
5. Constitution Documents (any one) Certificate of Registration MOA & AOA Partnership Deed
6. Proof of Registered Premises (any one) Lease/Rent Agreement Property Tax Receipt
7. GST Registration Certificate
8. Import-Export Code, if applicable
9. Receipt of Compounded offenses (if any)
10. Copy of PAN (Permanent Account Number).
